 House of Ellis
Internship Program Rules and Check List

Participants will be selected by House of Ellis followed by an extensive interview process conducted by House of Ellis.

The House of Ellis interns will be placed at various private companies and governmental agencies that match their area of interest.

This will be a unique opportunity for the House of Ellis applicants to work with and gain hands on experience in their field of interest as well as work alongside experts who will guide them in that field. Interested persons must apply online by clicking the Apply Now link. The application deadline closes on March 20, 2020. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Program Rules

  • The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with a Chief of Staff and or Executive Level Staff (managers) on a variety of short-term projects and or assist as requested of them by the Executives.

  • The intern will report to work for 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

  • The attire is business casual, no short skirts above the knees, no transparent


  • No low-rise shirts

  • No sagging pants below the waist

  • A belt is required in all pants

  • No cell phone use while at work

  • Always have a note book and pen to take notes

  • If you are running late please call your supervisor and notify House of Ellis via text or email



  • A grade average 70% or higher

  • Creativity and the desire to take the initiative and suggest fresh ideas

  • Strong writing, communication, organization, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others

  • Ability to multitask and produce results within short timeframes

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

  • Willingness to learn

  • Two references are required, one from any teacher of your choice within your school, the second reference from the principal of your school.

  • Five days a week for a duration of five weeks.

  • 7 hours per day including one -hour lunch break


    Must arrive to work on time

  • Stipend for transportation will be provided for the duration of the internship

  • Interns cannot be absent, if absent intern MUST show proof of why they were absent. If absent two or more times, intern will be removed from program. The unused portion of the stipend must be returned to the program sponsor House of Ellis within three days.
